Disbursement of prosthetic devices and assistive devices for Disabled Service

The committee considers the extent of the applicant’s need for the prosthetic device, and the extent of his/her ability to benefit from it, provided that the committee issues its decision within one month from the date of submitting the application, accepting or rejecting the application, with an explanation of the reasons for the rejection. The applicant shall be notified of the decision in a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt.

    1. The applicant must be approved among the beneficiaries of the disability allowance.

    2. The applicant should not be registered within the government rehabilitation schools affiliated to the Ministry of Education.

    3. The applicant must submit a medical report for the degree of hearing in relation to the request for a hearing aid, and in the case of requesting a device with special specifications, the professional treatment report should be attached.

    4. A 2 years to be passed since the re-application of a new request for prosthetic devices available in the Ministry’s stores, and four years have passed since the request for prosthetic devices with special specifications.

    5. To submit a medical report in Arabic, endorsed by a government hospital, less than two years old, showing the type of disability, the type of device requested, and the extent of its suitability for the applicant condition.


    A questionnaire measuring the satisfaction of beneficiaries of the prosthetic devices service provided by the Social Rehabilitation Department

    1. A recent medical report certified by a government hospital certified with two years (hearing report/occupational therapy report)..

    2. The monthly income of the beneficiary of the service / whatever type of income (commercial records data of the applicant or his family members).

The request for prosthetic devices service is submitted in all social development centers distributed over the governorates of the Kingdom that are affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development.
