Al Matrook Conductive Rehabilitation Center


Al Matrook Center for Counseling Rehabilitation is a specialized rehabilitation center to serve Bahraini children with cerebral palsy. It was established on 23rd January 2008, as one of the community partnership projects between the Ministry of Social Development and one of the private or civil sector centers, as the center works to provide the best quality of day care and rehabilitation, to enable children, in an effort to reach their full potential, through the academic program and physiotherapy and rehabilitation services And academic, psychological and speech problems treatment that are provided in the daily program of the center to reach their integration into society.


The objective of the center
  • Rehabilitation of cerebral palsy cases academically, physically, psychologically and socially.

The beneficiary category
  • Children with cerebral palsy, Bahraini nationals, from 3 to 18 years old.

Conditions of Admission:
  1. The child must be of Bahraini nationality, from the age of 3 years and not exceeding 18 years.
  2. Applicant must have cerebral palsy.
  3. Applicant must be free from communicable and contagious diseases.
  4. Applicant to have the minimum ability to learn, and to go beyond the initial evaluation stage by the competent team.
  5. Applicant should not to be a clinical case.
  6. Applicant must not suffer from insufficiency, hearing impairment, disabilities, or health, psychological, or behavioral problems that impede the rehabilitation process.

Admission procedures:
  1. Submit an application to join the center in one of the social centers that serve the area of residence, with a medical report on the child attached.
  2. Evaluation of abilities and skills by the competent team.
  3. After a comprehensive evaluation, the child shall join the center for a trial period not exceeding two months.
  4. An acknowledgment from the guardian of his cooperation with the center administration.
